Joint Spring Conference Call for Proposals

This is the first call for proposals for the 2023 Joint Spring Conference, which will be held March 29 -31 at Rough River Dam State Resort Park.

Our theme is “Rough Water Behind Us, Smooth Sailing Ahead,” and the planning committee welcomes proposals for presentations, panels, lightning talks, and posters. As we have emerged from the height of the pandemic, our libraries and our role as librarians have changed, and many are looking ahead with a renewed sense of optimism. Going forward, how can we best serve our patrons and take care of ourselves? This is your opportunity to share your ideas with your colleagues and to learn from them as well. Options for presentations are wide-open, but here are some possible topics:

  • Innovative programming

  • Meeting the diverse needs of our patrons

  • Providing OER and virtual sources

  • Welcoming patrons back into our spaces

  • New approaches to offering reference and instruction

  • Library/Department morale

  • Access and equity

Proposals can be submitted here. The deadline for submission is Friday, February 17.

Thanks, Joint Spring Conference Planning Committee
